On occasion I take my kids out to the local skate park as they love riding their scooters and skateboards there. I ride a board myself, but I’m too old to do anything more than kickflips and heel flips.
Extreme sports photography was my starting point in photography so I normally bring my camera and a wide angle when I take the kids to the skatepark on the odd chance there is a decent rider there. It doesn’t happen often at my local, possibly because I miss them, or possibly because the park itself isn’t as good as some of the other locations for skaters.
What we don’t get is a lot of BMX rides so on the odd occasion it occurs, it’s great to get photos.
Here are some highlights from a trip last Sunday.
The angles aren’t always great, but this particular location it seemed to be very good.
